New LED headlights and foglamps are optional this year for the Sport and Sport S, and come standard on the Sahara and Rubicon. Additionally, there is a Cold Weather Group with features like heated seats, an engine block heater, and remote start to give you features you've always wanted at a value price. Also new this year are three new exterior paint colors!
Under the Wrangler's Hood
The secret to the impressive power of a 2017 Jeep Wrangler is the powertrain. Chrysler's perfected 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 resides under the hood of every Jeep Wrangler. This engine provides 285 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 260 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 rpm. The Wrangler comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, but there is an optional five-speed automatic available, too. The two work together to do the impossible when off-roading and function incredibly well when cruising down the highway. Climbing rocks and driving the kids to the mall have never been easier. Three gear axle ratios are available depending on trim and are 3.21, 3.73, or 4.10. In addition to that, the 2017 Jeep Wrangler has an unmatched approach angle of 42.2 degrees, with a 25.8-degree breakover angle and a 32.3-degree departure angle. All that means that the 2017 Jeep Wrangler can travel on terrain no other competitor can. As for towing, the Wrangler is capable of moving 2,000 pounds.
Design of Jeep Wrangler
The Jeep Wrangler is essentially a classic and the Wrangler holds true to its original design for the 2017 model year. With signature design features such as a seven-slot grille, removable doors, trapezoid wheel flares, exposed hinges, round headlamps, a fold-down windshield, and removable tops and half doors, the 2017 Jeep Wrangler is just as much Wrangler as it has ever been. Four trims, a variety of packages, and perhaps one of the most comprehensive aftermarket parts supplies available, the Jeep Wrangler is completely customizable to your needs and desires. Four trims include Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and Rubicon. If you select the base model Wrangler Sport, you'll get 16-inch steel wheels, a full-size spare tire, on/off-road tires, tow hooks, skid plates, cruise control, a tilting steering wheel, and an eight-speaker sound system. For more comfort, the Sahara trim is your best bet. The Rubicon is what you need for the best off-road experience money can buy, and if it doesn't seem like enough, the Rubicon Hard Rock edition is available and offers even more.
